Bermudiana was Hughes' first solo show on island since embarking on her journey as a full time Artist in 2020.
The work was intended to share Hughes' "unique but hopefully equally ubiquitous perspective on Bermuda." It was her hope that people "feel as if the paintings are celebrating the everyday life and the ordinary in Bermuda."
